I'd say, as Minmatar your Turrets are more efefctive in PvE, most certainly so in PvP. If you're going the capital road, your efforts are not wasted, however. So, go with it.

Lower your goals, m8. Titans are ships usually owned by alliances, not by single pilots, for good reason (price!). Also titans are not good value for money, when it comes to combat. They are often used for logistic purposes only.
